Peabody

Located in Essex County on the north shore of Boston, Peabody is a city that has a population of roughly 55,000 residents. Once a part of Salem, Peabody was primarily a farming community, but with its natural power from its rivers and streams eventually it was a key center in the leather industry where tanneries became abundant. For this, the mascot of Peabody Veterans Memorial High School is named the Tanners.

Today Peabody is a great suburb of Greater Boston that is mixed with residents and businesses scattered throughout. Noteworthy landmarks include The Northshore Mall which is one of the largest in the region, Centennial Industrial Park which is home to many medical and technology companies and the Salem Country Club with a professional golf course.
