Home Selling Steps

Listed below are the steps involved in the process of selling your home. Please remember, I can always be a resource for any assistance or to answer any questions that you may have. 

Step 1: Prepare to sell your home

You must physically prepare your home for sale. Do this by decluttering and removing any unnecessary items and be sure to clean the home from top to bottom including storage areas and closets as organized storage areas appear larger and accommodating. Next, you will want to stage your home. Rearrange your furniture so that it shows off the space best. You may consider getting some flowers for your landscaping or placing pots by the front steps to make the home as warm and inviting as possible. Maintaining your home in this condition throughout the entire process is very important to make a great impression on all buyers.

Step 2: Set the list price of your home

Many factors like market conditions, comparables, interest rates and your location will all play a role in how much you can ask for price. Market comps will be provided, however it is ultimately the seller that will finalize the asking price. 

Step 3: Negotiating an offer

Perhaps the most difficult time during the sales process comes when you get an offer. Whether you have one offer or are lucky enough to have several to consider, I can assist you with advice for a strategy to achieve your goals. 

Step 4: Plan your move

Once you have accepted an offer, then you can begin your next stage in planning your move. Fortunately, much of the cleaning and home preparation has already been done prior to listing the home for sale. Now you can begin planning movers and other logistics as you prepare for your next chapter.
